Originally opened in 1938 and beautifully renovated in 2019, the Auditorium at the Old Greenbelt Theatre is a trip back in time unlike any in the area. With 368 seats, a 40’ CinemaScope screen, two Simplex XL 35mm projectors, a Christie 4K digital projector, and a Dolby Digital 7.1 sound system, the Auditorium at Old Greenbelt Theatre is a treat for the eyes and ears.
Where do I get tickets and concessions?
As you approach the Old Greenbelt Theatre, off the Roosevelt Center in historic Greenbelt, Maryland, you’ll see a ticket booth on our patio. On weekends, we operate ticket sales out of the booth. Once you purchase your tickets, you’ll enter the doors to the right of the booth, and purchase concessions in the lobby. On weekdays, you’ll enter the theater to purchase tickets and concessions in the lobby. The auditorium is through a set of double doors at the far side of the lobby.
Should I pre-purchase my tickets?
With 363 seats in our auditorium, we rarely sell out a show. However, special events, guest speaker, or specialty screenings do often fill up and create a long line at our ticket booth. You can skip the line at the outdoor ticket booth by pre-purchasing your ticket for these high-interest events.
Does my membership at OGT apply to showtimes in the auditorium?
Yes! OGT members enjoy $6.50 tickets for all showtimes, regardless of screening location.
What hearing/visual assistance devices are available in the auditorium?
The auditorium is fully ADA compliant. We offer closed captioning, audio amplification, and descriptive video service. You can request these devices at our concessions stand.* We also offer a weekly Open Caption screening, usually the Sunday matinee.

Is the Pop-up wheelchair accessible?
The auditorium is fully ADA compliant. There are wheelchair spots in the middle and back of the auditorium. Our bathrooms are wheelchair accessible.
Can I rent the auditorium for my event?
