Feels Good Man

As in many of the weirdest fairy tales, it all starts with a frog. This story, however, is all too real. In November 2016, a barbaric election cycle had exposed a seismic cultural rift, and the country suddenly felt like a much different place. For underground cartoonist Matt Furie, that sensation was even more surreal. His innocent creation, Pepe the frog, had become co-opted by agents of chaos.

Winner of the 2020 Sundance Film Festival Emerging Filmmaker Award, the profoundly thought-provoking documentary FEELS GOOD MAN about the Internet’s appropriation of artist Matt Furie’s originally kind character Pepe the Frog will premiere August 28-29 with four exclusive online screenings, each accompanied by a live stream Q&A for audience members to submit questions. Tickets go on sale August 21st and will be limited to just 250 tickets per showtime.

Audience members will be able to choose from a select group of independent cinemas and bookstores across the country to receive the proceeds of their purchase and have the option to make an additional donation to that cinema or bookstore of choice, as well as purchase a signed copy of artist Matt Furie’s new collection of paintings entitled Mindviscosity.

Showtimes will be:

  • Friday August 28  8pm ET
  • Friday August 28  11pm ET
  • Saturday August 29  8pm ET
  • Saturday  August 29  11pm ET
